Arapahoe Parking Garage and CDOT Building
Greenwood Village, CO
This project involved the construction of a 244,350 sf parking garage with administrative offices. Foundation system consisted of caissons ranging in size from 72” to 24” in diameter, and 33’ in depth. This included poured in place 2’ thick grade beams over void material. Concrete was pre-cast for this 4-story parking garage. Also included were colored architectural cast walls, double tee decks, stone veneer, three stair towers with pre-cast stairs and two elevators. Garage ventilation, mechanical and plumbing systems were installed as well. In addition, the construction included a 65,160 sf tenant buildout for CDOT housing offices, truck maintenance bays, sand storage, and a mag chloride containment pit.
Motor Pool and Electrical Upgrade

Three main components defined this project:
ELECTRICAL UPGRADES
- Demo existing 400 amp Main Distribution Panels and install new 600 amp Main Distribution in twelve buildings.
- Demo all Secondary panels and transformers and re-feed back to Main Distribution.
- Demo pole mounted transformers and install new pad mounted 500 Kva transformer with underground feed to building.
CRANE INSTALLATION
- Design, supply, and install Bridge Cranes and Jib Cranes with electrical support for eleven buildings.
- Raise all existing HVAC and water supply systems to accommodate cranes.
- Demo all existing overhead lighting and install new lighting.
WASH RACKS
- Demo old wash racks with 13,000 sf of hardstand.
- Design and site adapt new 150-foot Tank ramp for ten buildings.
- Design and site adapt sand sediment system with Industrial waste system.
- Install new 12-inch concrete hardstand.
- Install ten-station wash system on tank ramp.
- Demo pole mounted transformers and install new 45 Kva pad mounted transformers with underground feed to 200 amp weather tite service.
